IL Woman Sues Apartment Complax After Spill On Icy Driveway

An Illinois woman has sued her apartment complex after slipping and falling on some ice. The complaint alleges that the woman was walking on a driveway when she slipped and fell.

The fall broke her ankle and has caused her disability, tremendous pain, and emotional distress.

The complaint argues that the apartment complex negligently allowed snow from the roof to melt and re-freeze on the driveway. Moreover, once the ice had accumulated, the apartment complex should have taken steps to remove the ice. At the very least, the complaint states, that the plaintiff should have been warned about the ice accumulation.

The suit prays for $30,000 in damages, plus court costs.
